Exploring Topics & Creating A Research Proposal

In the beginning of the chapter the book states "Do some preliminary reading online, but be disciplined about it." In my opinion, this is my hamartia as a writer. I love to get off on tangents, especially in assignments like project two where we're allowed to research and write about issues we have passion for. On page 277 where the book starts to talk about more focused research, they use the example topic of diabetes and offer some search questions that could provide valuable information. I appreciate the model for research and this section helped me create an outline to lead myself in an informationally valuable writing process and product.
