Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a really scary word in college. Everyone is trying to get as much work done as possible as quickly as possible, and before all the technology available today plagiarism was a very accessible and easy way to 'complete' assignments. However, plagiarism is defined as 'when we draw on the words and ideas of others without acknowledging them as contributors.' A form of plagiarism I didn't consider is using photocopies and printouts from websites without noting the source URL. The narrative provided by the Mcgraw Hill handbook to creating an annotated bibliography and avoiding plagarism in school work was detailed and helpful to keep around.
